Social Elixir
I silenced my heart
Left forgiveness at the start
Failed to color in the lines
I looked at the sky and searched for the signs
I threw recklessness to the wind and wrapped myself in caution
Censoring my existence too afraid to take my chance; a simple precaution
I let you fill my mind with negativity because I don’t fit your idea of exclusivity.
I may be a jigsaw puzzle with missing edges that will never quite fit together but I’m still a complete picture.
Don’t judge me based off of labels from a social elixir.
